I'm not an expert on their education programs, but my "feeling" is that they are excellent. Most of the professors I had at UT, who also taught in the graduate program, were excellent. In addition, many who are now in highly regarded academic positions earned gradaute degrees from the UT school of education.
One thing I do know is that people from all over the country apply for the principalship program. It is excellent and very hard to get into!

The University of Texas is one of the best public universities in the US. All of its programs are excellent.
Of course -- it isn't quite UC-Berkeley, or UNiversity of Michigan.
