Since it is a private website they can do whatever they want.
They might want to consider kicking out some of the extreme, left-wing wack jobs but then again I think it is very informative to see where some of these uneducated, emotionally unstable & uninformed people are coming from.

No they shouldn't. According to the rules on here it is not allowed either. Some get by with it though if no one flags their rantings. There is nothing in freedom of speech that says you can disrespect others. People need to read the 45 words in the first Amendment and it certainly doesn't give people the right to harrass, call people names etc. People just show their ignorance when they resort to the four letter words etc.

No.
Not anywhere, unless it's the Yahoo! Adult section, wherever that is.
Come to think of it, a cuss word is easier to ignore than an carefully crafted insult.

I think not on swearing... you should be able to speak more intelligently if your in this forum... as far as racial slurs... again, you should be able to speak more intelligently, however, if in the proper context of a discussion it should be allowed.

I think that they should allow it in all the sections. However, they say that they want this to be a "family-friendly" forum, but even if you replace all the swear words with astericks, most of the content is still not exactly "family-friendly".

No we should still behave in a respectful manner. No matter how hard it is at times with some of the idiots and their ignorant questions and answers.

If you can not express yourself with out using profanity then you have too little knowledge on the topic and are just here to bash someone else's opinion.

Although obscenities and malicious remarks should be monitored, I think that YA should be more lenient with sarcasm and lighthearted name-calling.
