1. Kennedy, John Fitzgerald ( 1917 - 1963 ) President of United States ( a961 - 1963 ). Commanded the PT Boat in WWII, served as Congress man from Mass ( 1946 - 1953 ). Senator from Mass ( 1953-1960). In 1953 married Jacqueline Lee Bouvier (born 1929). For Writing " Profiles in Courage " , won Pulitzer price in 1956. Kennedy become the first Roman Catholic and young Man to be elected President His programme the " New Frontier " called for Federal aid to Education, medical care for the aged. In1962 he demanded that USSR withdraw offencive weapons from Cuba. At home he proposed major legislation to secure civil rights for ******. On November 1963, he was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald, in Dallas, Texas.

I had the privilege of meeting him as an young Boy, in Bangalore, India, during 1961 or 1962.
