your going to have to call the police. they will take the plate info from you and take care of it. the trucker probably knew what he was doing when he flew the coop. don't let him get away with this. good luck

The police should be able to trace the truck with the plate number - but even then i am afraid you are scrood. if you didn't see a driver's license or get a name of the driver - all the company - and all the driver's have to say is they didn't possibly do it - you are mistaken -or just made up the license number. i know something of this because my son was victim of a hit and run - and he got the plate number. they found the car and the owner said he had loaned the car out that night and that person was "no longer in the country". the police said there was nothing they could do - since the driver could not be ID'd. In your case since the truck will probably show no evidence that it hit you - there will be no evidence except your word - which - sad to say is probably not enough.

Take the plate number to the police. Contact your insurance company. How did he hit you twice ?

If the other party - no matter whose fault it was - leaves the scene, it's considered "hit and run", and the driver gets arrested. Unless this happened a month ago, report to the police department where the accident had occurred.

I would just report it to the police. I dont think you can go to the insurance company with out a police report.

Take the license plate number to your insurance agency and explain to them what happened; they should be able to help you.
