I don't think anyone tries to...maybe my sis-in-law but she tries to put others down to make herself feel better. My secretary suceeds in bringing me down - she's so mean and nasty and has such a negative view of the world.

My so called friend at work. She always says negative things to me or puts me on the defensive like whatever I am doing it is not the right way. Most of the time I can ignore her because she is very insecure herself but sometimes I want to tell her to F-off.

A few people I know at my Sixth Form...but I tend to avoid them as much as possible and not give them reason to want to upset me. Generally people I love never try to bring me down, and I am usually with them! :-)

people on the other end of the phone when you phone to complain about something, think they can fob you off, so now I always ask for their names, then when nothing happens I get THEM down by saying, ' well so & so said ---'
