I keep hearing how he's picked on Imus but has said nothing about offensive Rap lyrics. Thus, making him a racist for just picking on a white guy.

WHEN IN FACT, he has been speaking out against the violence and sexism in the Rap industry for years.

How come the white press never mentions his efforts at cleaning up rap these days? Seems that NOBODY has bought up his past protests against the rap industry. I wonder why. Seems like they only want to cover Cosby when he does something good.

I suppose it's just much easier to be a bigot and hate the man instead of getting the FACTS straight about him!

I really didn't expect any of the Sharpton hating bigots to address the links or the rap/Imus issue. I just expected blind racism and a dodging of the facts I presented.

Thanks for not letting me down guys.

P.S. where were white "leaders" like Falwell and Robertson during the Imus melt-down. How come they never speak up about outrages against the Black community? If they won't do it, I'll take Al then. He's all we've got.

LOL- GREAT ANSWERS!

And Martin Luther King was regarded as a loud-mouth, race baiting, publicity hungry, race card playing opportunist in his day also.

After all, (speaking like a white bigot) how come he only stuck-up for Black people so much....LOL

My how some things haven't changed in America.

Did you see my question on Race Baiting and how some use it to gain popularity for themselves? I was surprised when I ask the question on Race Baiting to hear Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton called 'Racial Terrorist'.

My question speaks directly to this issue.

I want to know when the good Reverend will start talking about the things which make us similar rather than different. I am not a racist and hate every form of racism. But you need to understand that people like Al Sharpton can just as repulsive as a guy like Imus when they focus their energy negatively by constantly addressing our differences as human beings!

Look, there is no doubt that Al Sharpton may attempt and even try hard to do some things that are worth noting. Even a broken clock is right ywice a day. The problem is, when you look at his history and his true agenda, it sort of take the shine off of the "good stuff". The best way to tell a lie is to tell nine truths with it. Take the time to read the article below. Actions speak a little louder than words.

I reviewed your sites and you failed to mention that these are very old comments and articles. The point is that when he was asked repeatedly why he isn't castigating rappers and blacks in general using the words Ni**er, Ho, whore, Jungle Bunny, Oreo, Jungle Heat, etc he ignored the question or answered it by saying that it is a white America problem.

Obviously he didn't want to pi$$ of his ethnic base....the people that pay him to lead such false, fake & made up outrage rallies like the Tawana Brawley fake &,anti-white and anti-police incident. She was 15 at the time (1987) in NY.
Finally Tawana got caught in her lie that she was never raped by 6 white men (1 a policeman) and she covered herself in excrement and racial slurs because she didn't want toget in trouble from her mom 4 being out late. And that REV Al, attorneyes Mattox & Mason who had come to her defense originally were sued for slander by the county and they had topay a total of $345,000.Rev Al...7 counts...Mattox...2counts & Mason...1count. Tawana & her mother still have outstanding warrants issuedby the Grand Jury. They fled to Virgina taking with them the $300,000 defense fund people had donated. They are still fugatives and Rev Al well, he found a new cause...

That's why many people (black and white) call him a racist. If there isn't anything in it for him....he's gone. Not to mention he never even tried to verify her story...it had to be true...and racist.

BY THE WAY: Calling people who don't support Rev Al as racists is narrow minded and racist. I don't suppot the KKK, the Neo-Nazi's or any anti-Lation or anti-Islamic Terrorist groups....does that make me a racist in yout opinion? Or are you just a bigot when itcomes to white people?

Al Sharpton is dishonest gelatinous sack of crap that only care about his own reputation.

Remeber Tawana Brawley, he was quick to blame white america for that. despite it being a hoax. And lets not forget about how he was quick to jump on the bandwagon to defend the nappy headed ho, that made false allegations against the Duke guys.

Maybe Al has protested the rap industry, and maybe he should protesr harder and make it public. Or maybe his fellow african americans will accsuse him opf being a hater?

Im with tangi up there. He uses racism as a means to promote himself and get tv time. I dont hate him, but I am not exactly his biggest fan. If Imus was a black that said 'cracker', Sharpton wouldnt have even known about it. He himself has made racial slurs on several occasions. His career is built upon racism.

My distaste for Al Sharpen stems from a lot more than perceived double-standards. Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, and Lewis Faracon all share one thing in common other than their color; they are con artists. The Rev. Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader and a good man. He spread a message of unity and bridging racial lines. The "Black Leaders" of today share a different agenda: keeping black Americans angry and maintaining their own power.

There are numerous negative trends in the black community that represent a counterproductive sub-culture. Rather than fighting to destroy that sub-culture and promote the advancement of African American through good, old fashioned hard work, the con-artist black leaders of today want to tell you who is to blame for your problems. If you doubt me, I invite you to read "Scam: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America."

Al Sharpton wants you to be angry. He wants you to think of yourself as a descendant of a slave rather than the descendants of African and Egyptian Kings. As long as your angry, he maintains his position as the spokesperson for Black America.

Hannibal and Shaka Zulu were black, and they carved their names into the pages of history through triumph over adversity. They didn't have affirmative action and they didn't have loudmouth con artists to remind them that they were victims. If they were here today, they'd stick a spear into Al Sharpton. Every group has been subjugated and oppressed; if not by another race than by their own people. It is as true as death and taxes. What made them progress was their willingness to rise up and stake their own claim in the world, not whining about offensive words.

People who voice their opinions against Sharpton should never, and will never apologize.

The guy is pure scum. He's a race baiting, exploiting, grandiose , camera hogging, piece of crap. And beyond all that, he's an obvious racist. He deserves to be deported to Nigeria. Let's see how it likes it back there.

The "white" press??? I wasn't aware that the press had color.

I will never apologize to that race baiting piece of garbage. Why hasn't he demanded a boycott of gangster rap music? How much effort did he put into getting them off the label? Or was it a dog and pony show compared to what he did to imus?

By the way, did you just link us to a usa today story, and fox news? What "color press" are they?
