Trying to be bold we should not go blind.
Except Dravid others may be rested to regain form and come back after proving themselves.

I do not think so. The team should consists of senior and junior players. Like.. Make a pool of 25 players including Senior and Junior or young players. Keep rotating and this will provide experience to young . Major consideration should be performance and i.e consistent performance. Each of these 25 players would know that , if i do not perform.. there is a backup.. A Captain should be choice of Team not by Board or selection committee.
It is not necessary that.. if you are best batsman or bowler or has good record.. would be Good Captain. Vice Captain should be always Young player .

As per Coach, Mankad, Amarnath even Sandip Patil are good for Indian Team. A coach can not teach How to play.. he would be a mentor and make plan and provide Tips.

Most Important.. BCCI should be run by EX-Cricketers...

A perfect team is a team that has the right blend of youth and experience in it. If we are retiring these three players then i don't think our team would mark any improvement rather i would fall to further lows. Rather they should be given a place in the team for the next 2-3 years and alongside they should groom youngsters so that when these players retire they are properly substituted.

While I agree that seniors shoul,d be retired and they should be replaced by talented youngsters, such changes should not be taken overnight and should be taken in phased manner gradually after assessing the potential of the youngsters available. Otherwise there will be a big vaccum.

You can not drop big performer from the team immediately. You have to prepare at least 5 player those able to play on the international level consistently.
Then you think to drop them

Why not indeed? I think you are probably right..The players you mentioned are greats from the PAST not the future for your country.I also feel that their forner God like status is obnoxious and they have swollen heads as a result
In other words
PRIMA DONAS...
AXE THEM!!!
