No.....you can call it what you want, but it won't change what it is.

When the base is wrong how can we expect the building to be the perfect?? "war on terror" was a big lie just to misguide the world and created for those evil political gains at the expense of innocent lives.........And i think they have realized that it won't work for much longer....See one can't keep the lie for a long period of time !! i agree with Mr.Benn but i would be more convinced when they actualy stop acting on it and realy fight against the terrorists instead of innocent civilians !!
But anyways.....i wish it would be the beginning towards exploring the actual facts !!

Absolutely! The truth is this is just another war being fought against the people who aren't like us. The US cannot stand for anyone to think there's something more important in the world than Wal-Mart and being nice little happy slaves to US corporate interests.

I don't care who talks about it or what they call it I just wish they would stop fighting it.
Has it ever occurred to anyone else that by being over there we are playing right into Osama's hands? He can't very well bring a bunch of guys over here and attack us straight out on our own soil so he baits us over there to where he and his like-minded fellows are, knowing that the longer we are there the more guys he can recruit and the more violent they will get......makes a lot of sense if you think about it. That's one option I would certainly consider if I were taking on an enemy with vastly superior numbers, training and weaponry than my own. Remember, crazy and stupid are NOT the same thing! (Not always, anyway!)
Didn't anyone else here ever read "The Art of War?"

Yes, but one must also understand that it is more of a war OF terror than a war on terror. Iraq had nothing, absolutely nothing to do with the attacks on 9/11. AlQaeda is and was funded by our own CIA. The terrorists are the people in charge of our own government. This whole scenario was planned long ago. They just needed a "kick start" of sorts to implement it. 9/11 was just that. I do not really care what they call it, I call it needless deaths of innocents for political agendas and corporate greed.

Absolutely, and what is not said in the article is equally as true, that by declaring this to be "a war on terror" the administration has elevated criminal conduct to that of conduct that must be addressed pursuant to the powers of the "Commander in Chief" as permitted by Article 2 of the Constitution.

There is really no such validity in the war on terror. Terrorism will always exist as long as there are people who have their own personal or group goals. Don't you think the shootings in U.S. schools like the one just happened in Virginia tech, do not come in the purview of terrorism?

If during WWI we were like "do you think we should stop talking about the war on fascist geonicadal dictators who beleive in a master race and burn people by the millions" you would be called a fool and the enemy, today however it is known as the liberal party. You want to pretend everything is okay and stop calling what it is. You want to twist words and meanings t bend to your political agenda.
But remember, in the end... hippies always die first.

Well, I've thought it silly idea from the first time it was used. You can't eradicate terrorism. As long as there is oppression and imperialism, there will be terrorism.

How can you fight a war on an emotion or a tactic?
The "War on Terror" is just code for War on anyone that will not tow the line for the neo-con corporatists who've taken over this country.

No, I think war on terror is fine.
Maybe war on Islamic extremism would be better.
