I can't tell from you question if you are a party to the lawsuit or if you have been summoned for jury duty.

Anyway, the process is called Voir Dire...it is a legal process to screen out any potential jurors that might be biased in favor of one party over the others. It is handled the the judge and the attorneys.

In most courts, the judge asks the jurors some preliminary questions and then turns it over to the attorneys. The attorneys ask questions and ask the judge to remove anybody that might be biased, called a challenge for cause. You also have a certain amount of peremptory challenges where you don't need to specify the reason why you want the juror removed.

If you have been called in for selection as a potential juror, you don't need an attorney...just show up when you are told to.

You'd better keep trying to get a hold ofthat lawyer!

Jury pick means the attorneys on both sides try to weed out any jurors who may be biased in any way that would interfere with someone getting a fair trial.

its called Voir Dire....this is jury selection.

Your attorney should be there as he is the one skilled at picking a jury for your particular case. You should attempt again to get in contact with him..it is irresponsible for an attorney to not contact his client within a reasonable amount of time....but rememebr he has other cases also

Your lawyer will be there. That is the beginning of your trial.
