No it's not. Jesus turned water into wine, right?
Anyway, everyone is free to hold their own morals, however, imposing those on others isn't right. You forget what that person said and you do what you feel is right. I personally think it's ok to drink, so long as you do not drive or beat your wife while you're intoxicated. However, I find it rather sinful to go around imposing your morals on others. Morals are simply in the eye of the beholder.

More than 2 beers intoxicates and in some cases one beer does. Whatever we do, we need to do it in moderation. Also a pastor if seen drinking beer could cause another to stumble or think differently of the pastor. If you question that drinking alcohol could be a sin, then yes it is a sin to you. You have seen it harm someone. Since we all know alcohol can destroy families and drinking while driving can kill people, then we would almost all have to admit that drinking alcohol is a sin.

Sinning emplies religion, and there are hundreds if not thousands of different religions, and factions of religions, all with different opinions on the matter, most christians would tell you it's ok in moderation, whereas a devout Muslim would almost definately tell you that its entirely wrong and sinfull, so it depends on what you or your co-worker consider to be a sin I suppose.
Personally i recomend drinking as much as possible, pretty soon you wont really care weither it counts as a sin or not.

no. i dont believe it is. i've grown up amongst strict catholics and we all drink on occassion.
what is a sin is alcoholism, or the abuse of any substance. anything without drawing the line.
being intoxicated is acceptable as long as youdont do anything stupid and make sure you ahve somebody in their right mind with you. and obviously, taking into account that it doesnt happen too often you should be fine.
dont rely on alcohol to ensure you have a "good time" though. that would be a problem as well because it means you're not innovative enough to be able to have a good time without chemical interference.
have fun

It completely depends on ones religious belief as to whether or not being drunk is a "sin". Being drunk is bad regardless of ones personal beliefs. Being drunk inhibits you from acting normally. It usually makes act like a fool and you do things that you regret. Additionally, no matter the amount of alcohol consumed, ones perception is always negatively effected. Drinking is a always a bad idea, especially in large amounts.

No...but if you got drunk through gluttony, then it is! I can only assume that moderation is divine...otherwise, Jesus never would have turned water into wine.
There's a verse in the Bible where someone ask Peter if he's been drinking. His response was, "Of course not..it's only 9 in the morning!" I love that verse!

Anything that is harmful to your body is a sin. God doesn't want us to harm ourselves in any way, this body is a gift that is needed to return to our God with higher knowledge and to become closer to him. However, I don't believe that you'll go to hell for doing so, just as long as you drink for another reason than to get drunk. Also, repentance.

In some religions it is, in others it is not.
Catholics do not consider it a sin. Muslims do.
