I think racism is an excuse. I think some people just are negative and used and abused and dont know how else to be towards another human. Some people were taught to hate and if your taught to hate, your not taught to love. I think the root of it is more than black and white... try mental stability.

That's what I wish for all of the time. But it looks like it will never happen. It's 2007 and this foolishness is still going on. I don't know what it is with white and black people. These are the only 2 races that have so much hatred between each other. But all I can do is change myself as an individual and teach my child to treat everyone..no matter their race or ethnic background..with respect.

Yes, but I think both sides need to earn the respect of the other, not demand it. It's an individuality thing, not a race thing; hell, I'm white, and I don't like white people that I have no respect for...

Lots of people already do,but no one ever notices that.I have a Asian mate who actually dislikes other Asians and also white friends who dislike other white people,its nothing to do with culture really where i live..just personality clashes.

No, because both sides keep the issue alive. However, plenty of people are able to ignore it, so there is a new subculture that is nice.
