An educated person may or may not be qualified for a given job. Education is training the mind. It aims at developing the personality of a person, enhance his reasoning skills etc., etc.
Education in a particular field is just one of the requisites of qualification, the others being aptitude, experience and so on.

I look at it this way.

If a person is educated about violins and is well-read about the history, the construction, the makes and models, down to the very hairs of the bow, that does not mean he can read music for the violin, play the violin well or even play the violin at all.

A qualified violinist may not know everything there is to know about the violin, but if he can read the music and play well, he is going be chosen to play in the orchestra more than the less-experienced, educated one.

Experience is the difference. One has a degree only (Educated) the other has experience (Qualified).

Qualified people are those who are capable of completing the job responsibilities successfully.

Educated people are those who possess the theoretical knowledge, usually in the form of a degree and/or certification.

You can be qualified to do a job (able) but uneducated (no degree) and you can also be educated (degree) but unqualified (no experience).

Every qualified person is educated -- perhaps through school, but perhaps through experience.

Not all educated people are qualified. For example -- you would be hard pressed to find someone better educated than I am -- but believe me when I tell you that I am not qualifies to operate on you nor am I qualified to fix your car.
