I live in Australia and have been to hundreds of graveyards over the years.. I even conduct personal rituals in graveyards, not for the fainthearted I can assure you.. There is a lot of spiritual energy in any graveyard... The most haunted, I would hazard a guess at being the biggest.. There are realms all around you, different dimensions.. The Christian perception of their Heaven is way up in the sky, so no energy can be left behind... Just another stupid illogical explanation they get from their faerie tale book called the Bible...With what I say, they will then use their major excuse, and call it all work of the Devil....Ha Ha, come with me at midnight to my small country graveyard when the veil between worlds is at it's thinnest... If you dare... Blessed Be... )O(

Most cemetaries themselves are not haunted. A cemetary is where the body rests, not usually where the soul rests. If a spirit is bound to the physical plane, it's not likely to hang around it's body (unless it was really narsasistic). It is more likely to go to a place that had meaning to it for one reason or another, perhaps the place it died, or somewhere that was very special. For example, I know a ghost (yes I said that right) that goes where ever I go. He sits at the head of my bed and watches me sleep. Every time I've moved he's gone with me. The reason for this is because before he died he had it really bad for me (but couldn't tell me, I didn't find out till after he died), and ever since then he's been with me, watching over me.

My best friend and I love going to graveyards and even have a "chart" of what all the symbols mean... that said the most haunted graveyard I've ever been to was in Decatur Illinois, the most haunted city in the state. The cemetery is called Greenwood Cemetery, a good friend of ours, Troy Taylor, has written several books on hauntings and especially Decatur, visit his website: http://www.prairieghosts.com/abtauthor.html

I and many other of my colleagues enjoy going to cemeteries - I'm a historian in Texas and work closely with our cemetery program. I'm sorry to tell you, but I've never encountered anything supernatural in a cemetery, and I've visited them since I was in high school (almost a decade ago). Once you die, your soul doesn't haunt the earth - its either with God or apart from Him. Niether are on this plane.
