I cant tell you why your molly isnt giving birth since you didnt say how long shes been pregnent or if she is nearing the time she should be giving birth, but I can tell you about fry survival. Unless you have good cover for the fry to hid in, such as Java moss or a floating mop (yarn tied together with a bobber), your fry most likely wont survive. Not olny will other fish in the tank eat the babies thier mother will too. If you put her in a breeding cup (hangs on the side of the tank) when she does give birth the fry will fall to the bottle where there are little holes that empty into a second level where the mother and other fish cannot get to them. You can then transfur them to another tank and start feeding them finley ground flake food. If you do this your survival rate should be quite higher than if you just let them be in the tank.

On average once thefemale is prego around 28 days however it could take much longer.
Also is your female old enough to have little ones?

I have never had my mollies eat the babies and you should remember to feed them more while the fry are in the tank. I do not remove mine. Be sure the little ones have cover, plants etc.

Also, be sure you do have a male and a female. Don't worry, having a male and a female, she will eventually have little ones.

Typically it's 28 days from insemination to birth, but that's just an average. It can easily be a week before or after. If you have plenty of hiding places in the tank and not too many adult fish it's reasonable to assume a few babies will reach adulthood.
