If in a dream, we dream an event of ourselves running for an hour ,are we actually dreaming that event by spending an hour while sleeping or is it just a flash of the thought that occurs in a fraction of second in our mind while sleeping?

Thats Great stuff from you friends...
Consider in my dream i'm observing a clock that ticks over and over for an hour and i remember each and every tick...and in reality?? i dream that entire event for a fraction of a second...well is it a proof that time is not the same everywhere (Ex:The duration for a second differs from one galaxy to an another)

Hi there

There's no way of telling how long it actually lasts, but it certainly isn't a full hour.

Consider the fact that people sometimes remember dreams in which several months, or even years, seem to have passed in a single dream!

In order to understand dreams we need to remember that periods of REM sleep (which is when we dream) usually last for around 20-30 minutes, yet most people's descriptions would fill only a fraction of that time.
Given that dreaming time takes up only 25% of our total sleeping time, even if we get a full 8 hours sleep, that's still only 2 hours (approx.) of dreaming time. And that's spread over 4 different REM periods.

Incidentally, unless we wake up in the middle of the night - and stay awake for some time, most dreams we remember are the last one of the night.

I think it is just a fraction of a second in our mind because i know i usually dream a thousand different things like going to football games then doing something else that takes a while after and stuff after that and i dont dream long enough to acually do all of that so if you are dreaming about running for an hour i think you arn't acually sleeping for an hour just for a little bit that feels like an hour.

No ! You can most effective manipulate them while you're NOT sound asleep. So take capabilities of your waking moments and fantasize all you desire approximately what you desire. Remember what Jimminy Cricket mentioned ; " A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes "

It's all in your mind. Everything. Your perception of reality is yours, sleeping, or awake.
