I have reconnected with some old friends from high school and even grade school on "myspace". I think it's great!

I agree with you that myspace is great, but latley, its becoming more troublesome than anything else because of all the hacking thats going on. Hacking codes are being used in some of the html comments posted on peoples pages.
I love myspace and have never had a problem with it. I'm looking forward to finding people on there too!

MySpace was fine for friends and stuff, but I found Facebook to be so much better. My issues with MySpace were; 1) when people customize their page, so many put pictures on that makes it impossible to read their page, 2) I started getting random friend adds from women I didn't know all over the country, and that bothered me, and 3) one of my friends got hacked and the hacker sent me and others inappropriate comments that had porn in them.

someone people hate myspace because too much spam on their comments, bulletins and events also they put stuff on your page like "Click Here, cloud and rains etc..." and just remove any codes such as "about me, interest etc....." and change your password right way, just don't wait last minute. Myspace is better, way to keep in touch with friends, family and classmates. Instead make new friends and don't add people or accept, you don't know and just deny people. You can set a private no one can view your profile. You can change your background, contact table etc....... or you can make your own layouts, if you want picture off google, yahoo etc.... then go to www.photobucket.com but you had to sign up for account. it's free and you can upload any pictures before you get any codes. You might like to decorate your picture like blingee, zingfu etc...... If you want to protect your images, go to www.freecodesource.com or www.pimpmaspace.com. Remember, never give out personal information to any strangers or either on your page.

i don't hate it :) I think it is great way to reconnect with your friends.
I use myspace but i don't put "personal" stuffs there nor anything that will offend others. However, numbers of myspace user misuse it with swering and insults.

I don't like myspace. I had one for a week and when I had it my comp slowed way down. Myspace has spyware in the links on peoples pages.Down with Myspace!!!...lol

i think the reason why people hate it is because a few of the myspace users think that it was created by god himself. they always talk about how great it is and think that if you don't have one then you are a loser. so i think that people see this and think that all myspace people are chaches and therefore hate myspace itself

Maybe these people got reconnected with enemies?
It is probably because it is young pop culture that people hate it...like disliking American Idol or MTV or Paris Hilton (I happen to not care for A.I. or Ms. Hilton)

I don't think people so much "hate" it as worry about it. When young people use it, and post too much personal information, it causes some concern for their safety. Internet predators love the site, because it offers them a way to connect with potential victims. It has excellent valid uses as well, as you have found. Like many valuable tools, it must be treated with respect and caution.
