I will have a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts degree with emphasis' in the following areas: Rhetoric, History, Legal Studies, & Criminal Justice. What kinds of jobs would I qualify for? Do any of you have really good paying jobs with a BALA degree? Do employers look at this degree as you were unable to make up your mind? I'm really worried and if I need to change my degree I want to do so before I graduate since I've worked so hard for it, I don't want to not be able to find a good job that I enjoy.

Bartender? Seriously, all my friends that got liberal arts degrees work in resturants. You could probably go the civil service route. Police, fire, library worker, clerk, theres about a million jobs in the public sector that you'd qualify for...and it may be a better option for you.

A BS in liberal arts and professional studies is really a BS in just about nothing. You need to pick a major with an actual career path other than general studies. Pick out something you enjoy doing then pick a degree that goes with that then at least you will have a job where you do something you enjoy. If I was hiring and found someone with a degree in liberal arts I would just think they are lazy or just wanted a degree I wouldn't think they had any idea of what they wanted to do. You need to pick an actual major liberal arts is a cop out.

I have my BALA and am in marketing. I started out in customer service. It may be difficult to find that high paying job right away. Try for a consulting job through Accenture, etc. if you want a lot of money out of the gate. Beware though, there is an aweful lot of travel and hours associate with being a consultant.

I would not put Liberal Arts on any resume. I would put Bachelor's Degree. And then the subjects which matter.

You might want to consider applying to Law offices or court systems.
