I said create wings, why do people assume I mean 'fly'?

For this time it's impossible. To do that you must manipulate the human DNA. In the fact, we even can't read the DNA yet. There's a thousand part of the DNA and it's still out reached of the science. If we know which part of the bird's DNA that genetically control the bird's wing and combine it with human DNA, maybe that possible...

Well, they biologically grew a human ear on a mouse's back, so I don't see why they can't grow wings on humans in the future. As of right now, that research only stems hope for the future to be able to regrow missing body parts on humans. So, I don't think the technology is available yet, but could be soon.

No, because first of all, scientists have not yet found the genes that code for production of wings. Even if they did, and people had wings (instead of arms), because their bones are much more solid than those of birds (and for other reasons as well), they probably could not become airborne.

A human is too heavy. You would not have the energy to be able to flap them to leave the ground. It may work like a hang glider but you could not stay up.

Their bones are too dense.
They would require massive muscles and a cooling system
Human are probably beyond the size and weight that would be conducive to flight.
