I think there are approximately 9 square feet in 1 square metre (based on the fact that 3 feet x 3 feet = 9 square feet and 3 feet is roughly 1 metre and 1 metre x 1 metre is 1 square metre). The answer is therefore approximately 185.22 square metres.

They are not equal dimensionally. Presume it is converting square foot in to square metre and you want to know how much is 30 square feet expressed in square meter. ok 1 square foot = 0.09290304 square meters So 30 square feet = 0.09290304 x 30 =2.787 Square metres

Convert 1,667 sq ft into sq yds which is...
1,667 sq ft / 9 = 185.2222 sq yds
Then multiply that by 0.8361...
185.2222 sq yds x 0.8361 = 154.8643 sq meters...
I think thats how you do it.
