Well Im going to Vegas next week and we are palnning on hit some of clubs on the strip and I really do not want to look like a bum. So I need some fashion suggestions.

Here's a tip from a girl in Las Vegas. Go with some dress slacks that are comfortable, pair it with a nice shirt and some shoes that match your pants. Grab a light dress coat and hit the clubs - you'll do perfect in that.
If you enjoy jeans, stick with cotton linen blends and go for black tapered pants. Ask the store clerk to assist you in choosing them. Let the pants roll down just around the top of your shoe, but not too long they slip under them.
Choose your shirt in cotton linen blends as well - go dark, browns, grays - then top it with black coat/jacket.
Belt should match your shoes, wear a watch only, less jewelry on men the better - go silver or black leather. Get a nice clean hair cut and you'll rock the house at any club in Las Vegas.
Don't worry about being too casual in attitude either - just stand around, put one hand in your pocket, a drink on the other and laugh it up with your friends while you're checking out the girls.
If you have an H&M near you, go in there and ask a clerk (a pretty one) to help you choose - if you plan on looking good you might as well have a hot girl decide what looks great on you. If there isn't an H&M try another place, there are many great dressy casual places that have girls to help you out. (I highly suggest getting a female clerk to help you out!)

Las Vegas is probably the most fascinating and interesting town in the world and with hotelbye you will see out more. Nowhere otherwise on earth you will see a town that has all the journey amenities that merely a complete resort location could possibly offer: luxurious casino lodges, great eating, wonderful live leisure and state-of-the art conference and deal show facilities. Las Vegas happens to be a spectacular city and exactly what you'd expect from a world-class city, and more, is the following for the journey pleasure. One of many areas you should visit in Las Vegas is the Fremont Street, a pedestrian region with all kinds of special sites.

Some clubs have dress codes and will not allow you in unless you're dressed properly. To just wander the "strip", jeans are fine... but to go to the clubs, you are better off to wear some sort of slacks and a button down and decent shoes - not sneakers. There's no need to wear a jacket or tie or anything... I'd say business casual is safest. You'll see all types of dress in Vegas... but if you're dressed nicely, you won't have a problem getting in to clubs and are more likely to get good service than someone dressed like a bum.

You don't say when your trip is happening. I would like to know what kind of school brings their students to Las Vegas, the most kid unfriendly place in the world? If coming in the within the next month it will be still pretty hot during the day so shorts or light clothing will be in order. If going to be here over night then a light jacket or sweater might be a good idea to carry.

Okay, NONE of the big name clubs will allow a guy to wear jeans and sneakers. You'll have a better chance of seeing God than getting past the velvet rope.
Khakis, a nice button down, and loafers are about as casual as you can get away with. Go to a store like H&M - they have fairly trendy stuff for reasonable prices if you want to go all out.
Good luck and have a good time!

Don't worry about it - in Vegas there will be every extreme. Guys wearing nothing but a speedo, and guys in 30,000 dollar suits. If you're wearing jeans and a T then you'll fit in fine.
::EDIT::
Most of the clubs are OK if you are wearing jeans and a collared shirt. No ties are required...you'll pick up just as many girls wearing jeans and a T (or collared shirt) than in a suit.

People wear everything from suits to pajama's. Don't know if where you are going has a dress code - but I think as long as you are wearing a shirt and shoes, you will be fine! Have fun!
