What the others have said is true but hey its hard for all students to get scholarships. I will left you in on a secret. where I go to college we have a group every year come from India. So that isn't a problem and they even let them all stay in the same dorm building. About the robotics. They actually offer robotic scholarships; of different levels: 1st year, 2nd year, etc. I would check into this. Also our study abroad program is ranked very high nation wide so they are more than happy to have people from other cultures come. Right now I know of a person from Singapore, Russion, two from Spain, one from Mexico and there are many from Africa, India, China, Japan, Germany...the list keeps going. As for tuition for the people that live within 60 miles it is only 6000 a year but it can get to 15000 a year for out of state/country and that includes 15 meals a week plan, computer use at library, internet in the dorms, and there are programs too to help the people that don't have money to buy books.
The campus right now is home for some 23-26,000 students and is known for their teaching, sports, science. so I would look at this website.
www.gvsu.edu. in the search put in robotics.
by the way this university is spread throughout west michigan, USA. main campus is in allendale, but the engineering is most likely downtown meaning the robotics most likely too. transportation is FREE!!

if you have any questions about GVSU just message me. I am more than willing to answer questions about the campus.

Look for scholarship programs if you dont have the $$$. Financial aid is generally for citizens and residents of the US here in the US. I dont think there are any scholarships available for students abroad unless you are an exceptionally good acedemic student with great references from reliable sources. If you have the $$$, apply to a university here and then try to get a student visa.

What you will need is an acceptance from US universities and the F-1 (student) Visa. After the university qualifys you and issue a statement that you are eligible to be enrolled, you have to take it to the US consulate and request for an F1 Visa.

One of the criteria for F-1 visa is that you are financially sufficient to pay for at least ONE YEAR of tuition and living expenses. You will need to prove this without a loan or grant from universities.

Financial aids from public sources are generally not available for foreign students. Private ones are different. However, you must secure them before you ask for Visa. Once the US consulate staff knows you are NOT financially secure, (meaning you are expecting to work in US), they will deny your request.

Keep in mind, if you are on F1 Visa, you are not permitted to work, even for part time, in the US. Only on-campus employment (such as working at cafeteria) are permitted. Hardship exemption is possible, but if they even suspect this is needed, your Visa will be denied.

Please ignore the nasty comment left above mine. Unfortunately, we have those who think it is funny to make such comments.

The answer above is the truth. There are scholarships but it takes time to get one and they don't cover the full tuition. As you advance in your studies you can start and internship and you will make enough money to pay for your semester but this won;t be until your 3rd year. so If i could start over I would stay in Europe..:)
