I certainly do not. At least not consciously. I would expect I've done it before, but try my best not to. I've found that the most unlikely person is usually my closest friend. If I catch myself doing that, I'll make it a point to go over, introduce myself, and see what this person is all about.

I used to do a kind of work where I had to make a quick judgement of character of people in order to decide how to approach them. It is surprising how with practice one becomes really good at forming accurate first impressions. However, there is always a lot more beneath the surface, so I keep an open mind. Also I never believe rumors or gossip, but always form my own opinion of a person.

Everyone does this to a degree. It's human nature. We judge people by their appearance, social status and so on all the time. It's not a noble behavior, but it is something we all do, and we probably all have our own list of preconcieved notions. The real key is whether or not these judgments are at the front of our mind and prevent us from getting to know people as they are.

Nope, that's how my best friend in the world and I became best friends in the world. Everyone judged her, was spreading really untrue nasty rumors about her and warned me not to even talk to her. I thought that A) these guys are idiots, B) I can decide for myself, and C) If she isn't liked by these people, she must be good person.

Years later, we don't see or talk to any of those people and we are very close friends. She's like my big sister.

yes and no. I WILL have my premade assumptions about the person, but I won't be close-minded enough to let those ideas stop me from getting to know someone. But it wouldn't be because someone was black or white or asian or mideastern or whatev. Its just how that person appears. I would rather approach a nicely dressed black man than a trashy lookin white man. But my father is a trashy lookin white man and he is the best man I know. So yes we all judge...its just whether or not we keep that judgement.

stereotyping is a harsh word to use, i don't judge based on looks or appearance, that's cold...however if someone is acting like a moron I will automatically think they were dropped on the head. I don't judge based on there background or if there male or female or blond etc. If there being reticules then I automatically think they are a moron.

I try not to but we all have some preformed opinions of people prior to getting to know them.

Honestly, I want to say no, but in all honestly it's human nature that we all do this do.
I myself try not to, but on a level of 1% percent said I do.
Sad but true!
