I wouldnt bother with him.Things like that happened to me, especially at school. So what i did was had my own party and only invited people i liked and got on with. You cant be friends with everyone and some people arnt even worth the breath. In school you always always get people grouping up,like that boy only inviting people in his group.Dont even give him the time of day, have your own party and dont invite him.

When I was a child my mother used to invite the whole class. My birthday is in the summer so she did the same thing every year, a garden party. There were only 18 children in my class anyway but giving a gift was never necessary. In those days people would give a gift if they were close friends but most people gave a card and possibly a little money or a book token. This idea that kids need super fancy gifts is silly. Most of the children that came to my sons party gave a gift of about £5-£10 but some didn't give a gift at all so it is less about the gifts and more about not wanting to leave any child out. Also children's birthday parties are getting more lavish and super, in the past a simple party, cake, some sandwiches and a peice of cake to take home was all that parents needed to bother about. I didn't invite the whole class as there are two classes in my sons year so at £10 a head it would have cost £600. I asked my son who he wanted to invite and left it at that. Invitations are placed in book bags by the teacher or his assistant, or handed to parents at home time.

hes a jerk... some people in this world think only about themselves and not other people im a dork turned hot so i know how you feel... your honestly a godd person because you care.. i know it hurts sometimes when you get rejected but thats ok because people like us that have gone through that are ususally people that a make a difference...the special people in a world gone bad.. if i was u i wouldnt be friends with him just take this situation on as a lesson for you and him ....you: if people dont want to give you the time of day dont obsess over it and worry that your not liked and dont try to fit in, youll either become some guy that gets his eyebrows done and looks like he got fried in a tanning bed or if your a girl, a plastic barbie on a shelf, when you look like them you blend in and disappear, be your yourself and stand out and be proud, your a leader remember that, there's no reason to be a follower. And his lesson is that he is so simple minded that he doesnt realize whats life about, hes too self absorbed to be different so let him blend in and you be the shining star in the crowd, a crowd that excepts you for who you are not for what they want you to be

Then why would you even want him as a friend if he's full of himself and arrogant?

even your question makes you sound needy, do you really need him in your life and why do you call him a friend at the end? He was just a boy in your class to begin with, which is it when you find the answer I think you will be better off.
