I started losing mine little by little at 27 weeks, and by 36 weeks my doctor said it was totally gone. I had the baby at 38 weeks. It looks like snot, and I mostly noticed it in the morning. Towards the end it was tinged with blood. Some people lose the it little by little, and some lose it all at once.
Oh my gosh, do not call 911 like the previous poster said. It's not an emergency situation. Call your OB if you are concerned.

I thought I might have lost mine last Monday. But I still don't know. I am almost 31 weeks with baby #4. I don't remember losing it with my first and third babies but my 2nd one I lost it, and it wasn't bloody or even pink just really thick. That's what happened last week, some really thick discharge came out (sorry) and I'm not sure if that was my plug or just normal discharge. But I guess I will wait and see if I lose more or have another show before labor begins.
I don't really have any advice, but try not to worry and just let your doctor know you think you may have lost it. Good Luck!
