Uh huh. I have no problem with my belief in God or what He has tried to teach us. I do have a problem with people who interpret His teachings to further their own goals. Far too many 'organized' religious groups have gotten far too complacent with their own ideas, at the expense of the words. Not to pick on 1 group, but for an example, exactly when did Jesus say that those who teach His words must be celibate? The RC church didn't start that until several centuries later, and several of the early Popes were married. Just a thought..

I was born into a Christian family, I was raised in a Christian home, I attended a Christian Church and I was even ordained at one time.
I left all of that lunacy behind primarily because your god has no responsibility to those who are faithful. And Christians, as a whole, are a bunch of lying, backstabbing people. And like you, they are incorrect in most of their beliefs.
You would call me a heathen and I prefer to associate with heathens. I can spend far less time looking over my shoulder in an attempt to prevent, yet another, knife in my back.
BTW, look around you. Your God either doesn't exist, is impotent or is one vindictive bastard.
You have a nice day.

I don't attend church as much as I'd like to. I am a Christian and have complete faith that Jesus was sent to earth to save those who believe in Him. There are so many critics out there but guess what? They are supposed to be there. Revelations predicts that men will be lovers of themselves, perilous times shall come, earthquakes, famines, floods, droughts, and that someday He will shake the earth by it's corners just like a hankie (not a literal translation so please no need to correct). We all know that the end is getting closer. Those that have closed thier minds to Him, will not open them again, no matter what we say. It is only Christ that can bring the lost home. The Bible says the end will come like a woman in labor, meaning in my not so learned opinion, all these disasters will start coming more and more often just like labor pains. Those who have ears, let them hear...and those that don't, pray for them. I'm a sinner man, I'm mean one day and nice the next, I drink too much, I yell at my kid too much, and I just plain don't talk about Jesus as much as I should...but guess what! I'm going to be with Jesus anyway. Because He loves us anyway. I am not afraid of dying and I'm not afraid of living. My life, the life of my child, and even the lives of the people who hate God so much are in His hands. I know I offend and that someday, I could go to jail for speaking this way, but it is the Great Commission given to me by my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.

I've read the Bible, I've been to about 10 different churches, none of them say the same thing, but the book remains the same. Screw categorizing myself into a "religion," I stick with, "There is a God, and I am not him." I'm GLAD to be disconnected from a church, they just confuse and brainwash.

most people only go to church on the major religious holidays because they want to appear to be a christian, even though they coudln't care less about religion - myself, i would never step foot into a church, not even for a wedding or a funeral.
I would love to see all churches/temples, etc in this country closed down. Churches don't have to pay taxes yet they get to accept money all day long - churches and religious organizations need to start paying taxes or get the hell out!

YOU DONT SAY.
You know I dont need to be an ***, but I was raised Methodist and there are alot of untruth's in what I was tought to be God's word. My friend Life sucks in alot of ways and that philosophy of yours doesnt make it any easier.
I believe in God but what I've seen and survived in my life so far will not be boiled down to a spritual training session. And training for what?

nope...not a church-goer at all......
why?? Have not heard good things about churches in the last decades...only heard about child molestors and collecting the money into their own pocket.....
So why should I be connected to a church? It's man-made and it definetly has nothing to do with believing in GOD....

No. Disconnected is a connection broken, I never had a connection in the first place, so it could not therefore have become disconnected.

I am wrapped-up, tied-up and tangled-up in the service of my God inside and outside the Church.
