As a Satellite Tech myself, the does not own a Satellite Company for the use of broadcasts and other transmission. However the Church does have a team of experts that leases and transmits Satellite Time around the world for "firesides", conferences, and other meetings. "Stake Centers" (church buildings that are the offices of lower church authorities) around the world are equipped with Satellite technologies to receive church transmissions. However, most of the actual work is contracted out to several businesses that I won't name here.

What do you mean by satelite? We own a broadcasting service, Bonneville Productions. But, the church is, from what I understand, trying to divest itself from most of the businesses it owns. Most of them were started because businesses owned by non-Mormons back in the 19th century didn't want anything to do with Mormons.
