Yeah my fantails and black moors do that too with their flake food. I think its just because theyve opened their mouths without swallowing the food first and it just comes floating out. It's a bit silly, i know, but i'm sure its nothing to worry about

the moores are noted for their poor eye site and take longer to eat because they have to find the food. this is the reason for keeping the slower gold fish apart from the faster ones.

Check your pellets. Goldfish need high protein (around 38% and low fat less than 5%)

Supplement your fish's foods with green veggies and fruits like oranges and watermellon.

Use a veggie clip in the tank for your slower moving moore. Attach small pieces of lettuce, endive, spinach and he will much at his leasure.

Goldfish spit out food mostly because they are just feeling it. If it. They will do this a lot especially when they are full or just don't like the food.

That's pretty normal actually. A fantail is a more aggressive eater than a black moor and will tend to hog the food. As for the moor spitting out the food, they will often do this to soften the food a bit. You might try soaking the pellets for a few minutes before you feed them to help that.

It's normal, but try feeding them some softer food, as the black moor may be finding the pellets a bit hard for his mouth.
