I would be looking for someone who keep their cool under multiple stresses - phone, people, many appointments to make, etc. I would also be looking for someone who is very articulate, has a pleasant voice, and who has a good employment history. Dress professionally - not too much makeup, a skirt that is at least to your knee, and don't wear your hair in a complicated style. DO NOT chew gum. Take a copy of your resume, even if you have already provided one. And - VERY important - SEND A THANK YOU NOTE IMMEDIATELY - not tomorrow - TODAY.

they will be looking for someone
** who speaks clearly and correctly
** doesn't miss work often (mention that you have reliable transportation, babysitting, etc)
** can take phone messages
** pleasant manner, slow to anger
** willing to learn or cross-train for other office positions if need be

And be sure to have a question or two yourself when you go, like how ling have they been in business? Is there overtime involved, and if so, how do they handle that? Do they offer benefits such as sick days, vacation, health benefits?

Above all, smile and be yourself.
Good luck!
