It has nothing to do with eating less....and if you do eat less, it's not good for the baby, which is dependent on you for food and nourishment.

I gained different weights with my three babies and my habits were the same and diet was similar. So it must have something to do with the baby.

You can eat small meals throughout the day and that might help regulate weight gain and also keep you from feeling full and uncomfortable. But you can't stop the baby from growing. Also, you might be retaining some fluid/water weight.

Please don't call yourself fat! Carrying a baby in your body is an amazing thing - what a privilege it is that you can bring a new life into the world. A pregnant body is beautiful and sacred. So just eat good and eat healthy.

This is the only time in your life where being fat is a good thing. Ok, most women need to gain 25-35 lbs to maintain a healthy pregnancy. You need to eat healthy and exercise. I don't mean water polo or anything drastic, just walking for 30mins a day can really make a difference. If you feel that the weight is a real problem, then try watching what you eat. Cut back on greasy food and try to eat more fruit and veggies. Also, drink water. You would be amazed at how much better you will feel. You are going to grow no matter what, just try and be healthy and it will make loosing that weight so much easier! Good luck.

Honey, you are not FAT. You are pregnant. There is a HUGE difference. Your belly will continue to grow. You need to eat to sustain the baby that is causing your belly to grow. You want your baby to be healthy, right? Eat when you are hungry. It means the baby is hungry too. It doesn't mean eating twice as much. Just eat normal meals. In a few months, it will all be gone and you'll have a beautiful new baby to show for it!!!

Sounds like me, my belly gets soo big so fast. It is the uterus expanding, giving your baby lots of room to get comfy. I wouldn't eat any less, unless your doctor has advised you to do so. You want a healthy baby so stick to a healthy diet. My first was almost 9 pounds so I am not sure if the big belly has anything to do with it or not, just do some laps in the pool or take a walk and eat as you normally would.

You need approx. 300 extra calories a day when you are pregnant, but ask your ob what is right for you. Fat intake should be limited to 30% or less of your total caloric intake. Make sure you are eating healthy foods. If you already are eating healthy and are sticking to your ob's recommendations, do not limit your food intake. It is very common to gain between 25-35 pounds while pregnant. Here's where that weight goes, in case you're curious:
7.5 pounds: average baby's weight
7 pounds: extra stored protein, fat, and other nutrients
4 pounds: extra blood
4 pounds: other extra body fluids
2 pounds: breast enlargement
2 pounds: enlargement of your uterus
2 pounds: amniotic fluid surrounding your baby
1.5 pounds: the placenta

Okay you need to make sure you eat healthy food. Your belly will only expand to make room for the baby. So if you see some fat rolls then you need to slow down and exercise. I only gained the normal 30 pounds when I was pregnant. My pants size was the same because of maternity wear and the rest of me looked good too.

If you eat less, you can hurt your child. Eat when your body tells you you need to eat. Are you seriously considering risking your baby's health to spare a few pounds and inches?

Thats good that you eat lots. its good for the baby. women who eat like nothing during pregnancy have smaller and sometimes unhealthy babies. now is not the time for anyone to be watching their figure. most people will gain quite a bit of weight during pregnancy. (normal!) so you just go ahead an enjoy food. =)

Good luck! =)

You're not fat, you've got a baby in that stomach and some seriously damaged body image issues in your head.
