Do you mean 80's grammy-nominated sensation Karyn White?
If so, good possibility she could make a comeback with her upcoming album "Action Fighter" which is scheduled for release the end of this year.
It will be her first album in over 12 years as she took time off to raise her kids.
I remember in the 80's she was not only known for her super voice, but as being one of the kindest, nicest women in the industry where most women in the industry are a, b*tch.

Last I heard she was enjoying motherhood... I was also told that her father was Barry White. I have no idea if that was true or not but I did see here on a special a few years ago and I had no idea who she was until she started discussing how she was enjoying being out of the spot light and her child...
