You should make the most of your life at any age. You can have a high quality of life in old age it just takes a commitment to be positive & happy & continue to see the beauty in life, even when it's a challenge. If you develop lifelong fitness & health habits you may never become "infirm". You can remain healthy at a ripe old age. Being negative is the biggest habit to break. Even young people can succumb to illnesses & addictions & feel "old & infirm" before their time. Much of it is attitude. You choose your life. You can choose to sit in a rocking chair or you can choose to go out & have fun. You're as young as you feel!

:)
Peace.

Yes, aside from the fact that you would probably have family members that love you and would miss you terribly, you could still have quite an impact on the lives of those you meet, encouraging and supportive. As far as entertainment for the aged and infirm - there are worlds of books, audio books, movies, documentaries, music...to enjoy and share. I firmly believe that if you are still alive, there IS a purpose for you to be here. Have a great day!

In the face of the growing economy, parents may no longer have the time in the future to look after their kids. And since old people can't work and are still alive, maybe they can look after the kids.

who are we to decide how other's lives should be lived?? How would you like it if "society" said that you shouldn't live because you had a disease? And what if you had cancer? Should we not treat you because you are "infirm"?
