I am a receptionist and do alot of odds and ends that other people don''t have time for, filing, faxing, codeing, etc.... however there are some days where there is apsolutely nothing to do so I can do whatever. I would do my college stuff but if a client walked in my books wouldn't look very professional where as they cant see whats on my screen just that I look busy.

My computer faces away from the office so I get away with it as long as I answer a lot, if I browse too much one of the other girl thinks I'm slacking and passes off her filing or something onto me even though she's in another department. :-(

HATER!! Why do u care? As long as my work is done on time and accurately -- why care??

It actually is better for me to be in my office instead of walking around talking or on the phone during a downtime. Its still using your brain!!

Why are you on it?? Are u unemployed? Retired?
