okay, everytime i kneel, my bones crack, 100% of the time. The last time I've cracked my knuckles was in the 7th grade. I'm in grade 11, and I am worried that I may have arthritis, my mom has arthritis I think, but it's very minimal. Like it's not that serious, but I'm already having problems at such a young age. My hips are mildly cracking and feeling stiff and I feel weak whenever I walk up the stairs (at school, they have small steps) and I get anemia often (especially when period time comes!! >.<) Is there a problem?? Am I going to get arthritis?? !! I need help! and my BACK is the worse of all!! If I stand/walk for a while (5-7 hours) my back will seriously start to hurt A LOT!!!!

When force is applied to the joint, gases in the fluid within and around the join loses pressure. In this low pressure environment, some of the gases that are dissolved in the fluid leave solution creating a bubble or cavity, which rapidly collapses upon itself, resulting in a "clicking" sound. The contents of this gas bubble are thought to be mainly carbon dioxide. There is some evidence that ligament laxity may be associated with an increased tendency to cavitate or pop.

So you are displacing the gases in the joint.

Now at 7th grade your body is still changing, growing building bone, etc so of course you are a bit loose right now. The fact your are getting back aches is worrisome. I'd be concentrating on building up muscles for these will hold your joints together. (people who go the to docs for bad backs are immediately given various exercises thru physical therapy).

Laxity will increase wear and earlier arthritis. Also excess weight wears down your joints.......I'm not saying you should be super skinny...far from it. For anorexics also damage their bones and joints thru starvation.....especially at your age.

Now is the time to be concentrating on your diet since you've just started your period and will need extra iron. Your body is changing and still growing (wisdom teeth in a few years for example).

Exercise such as yoga will help gain flexibility in the joints but you'll also need cardio exercises to increase your endurance and also strength building exercise to build your muscles. If your school has a Phys Ed instructor, sneak in and talk to them (they will be shocked a student came for questions!!!!) They can suggest things to help you. If you don't have a Phys Ed instructor, walk, bike, play sports (doesn't matter if you are terrible) etc to keep active.

As for arthritis, there are two forms. You might ask your mother what she has. Rhumetoid is more like a disease. Oseoarthritis is more like wearing down the joints. That's an over simplification, but it shows you there is a difference.

Loose joints? My bones crack too every time I kneel that's why I avoided kneeling in the department stores. It's normal...about the aching problems, I think you go seek a doctor for a general check up to ease your worries or to prevent anything from coming up.

If your bones crack very frequently it means that you are a loud person.

You may need vitamins for your joints from lack of calcium, sports injuries or everyday wear on your bones and joints.
