Well, they're certainly struggling at home early, but they should likely come out somewhere around the .500 mark.
Their pitching staff has some good young arms in Duke, Snell, Maholm and Gorzelanny. I wouldn't expect consistency out of them given their age, but they're good enough to keep the Pirates in most games. Adam Laroche is off to a poor start, but I'd expect him to help an offense that was in need of guys who could get on base while also hitting for power. Still, I think they need more production from center and leftfield, as well as their middle infield. Jack Wilson has a career OBP of .306, which is terrible, and Jose Castillo has some power but no ability to get on base.
I don't see them contending this year, but they've got a good future if they can keep their promising pieces.

The Pirates might desire to win seventy 5-80 in the event that they get all their gamers to paintings at the same time and use the possibilities they have been given from the pink Sox, and Dodgers, and that i understand for a actuality that Brandon Moss is a great hitter, provided that i'm a Redsox fan I admire the Pirates for the gamers that got here from their, specifically Bay, Nady, and McClouth( sorry if i'm getting his call incorrect)...You Pittsburg followers have a shot in being aggressive in ur branch if the group can pull a miracle of their pen and rotation...

75 this year, which will go for 4th in the Central. Bit of a slow start, but they've got some good young talent. If they don't keep trading it away, they could compete one of these years.

I think they'll surprise everyone by getting to around .500. I'll say 81 games.
