emboldening the enemy is what patriots do. Not GWB he wants them to know that the entire might of the fascist empire of USA is against them. Given we havent won in Korea, Vietnam, Cuba or basically anywhere else.... maybe that emboldens them more

No. The term war on terror may be clumsy but some handle must be put on our cultural struggle with fascist barbarians. Labeling our enemy does not strengthen them. Islamics gain their strength through their fanaticism , this is not about reconcilable differences or poverty or race it is about a vision our enemies share of a world controlled by self appointed arbitrators of morality. Our enemies also gain strength when civilized people refuse to confront them because doing so may cause some to call them names(political correctness). Petty self interest such as that displayed by France or Russia also play into the hands of the islamics. Only a united front against these savages and a willingness to inflict massive casualties will get the job done

All you have to look at is Al Queda and its new home in Morroco, and Algeria! We are not fighting a country we are fighting a global group of fanatics hell bent on taking over the world! Americans think the 2 WTC attacks are just isolated instances. America is at a point now, if it doesn't wake up to the reality of how tenacious this enemy is, we'll be finished. All you have to do is look at Europe, who has cowared to Terrorist. You also have to look at the hundred's of millions of Muslims who are being silent out of fear! The over whelming majority following islam, the U.N., most media outlets, and politicians; are selecting their words and actions towards terrorist, also are embolding them more in their cause for world domination. What strengthens terrorist is SILENCE!

But there IS a bigger struggle. Denying it won't make it go away.
The phrase is a misnomer. It should be called what it is, the war on violent Islamic fundamentalists.
Even Bush is too PC to say it.
PS I read your bio. I have the utmost respect for your service and for your Son's sacrifice. I disagree with your politics, but I do thank you, and him, for your brave and selfless service.

Nice try. We know the democrats have come up with a plan to hide their weakness about the war on terrorism by renaming it. You are several weeks too late.
