they are about 8 months now and they seem to small to handle a mouse i am not sure

You're beardie has not yet reached adult hood, 2 years would be a nice age, but start with pinkie mice if anything. their diet should not just be animal protein, remember they need their veggies and some fruit too! check out wnyherp.org and click on their care sheet, it will tell you the exact percentage of what you should be feeding your beardie!

when your bearded dragon reaches 10" you can feed them pinkie mice. I would never feed them anything larger than pinkies though as the bones are harder to digest and if too big can lead to choking.
Chicken strips can be offered as good alternative.

I personally wouldn't at any age, once they start eating pinkies, fingers start looking like food, but a good rule of thumb is nothing bigger than the distance between their eyes.

if your serious about feeding mice, then i cant stop you but i am to scared to feed my beardie mice....i stick to (animal wise) supermeal worms and crickets. if you want to feed mice...i would wait until they are over a year old
