What ever you do, dont try to start your engine if you have ingested water into the engine. This is know as Hydrolocking the engine. SEVERE damage can occur if you try to start or run the engine with water in the cylinders. You must remove all of the spark plugs and then crank the engine over to evacuate the water from the cylinders. Replace and or dry out your old air filter, install your plugs and try to start the engine again. An oil change will most likely be in order. If you try to run the engine with water in it, you will most likely bend the connecting rods

its possible that it sucked in some water.
Change the spark plugs and wires.. also when you have all of the spark plugs out, crank the engine to see if any water gets pumped out of the plug holes.... If any water comes out you are in more trouble than you thought. I would drain the oil and look for signs of water in there as well. An oil change is cheap and it can't possibly hurt so you might as well.

And to those answering distributor cap there's no DISTRIBUTOR CAP its a coil equipment sheesh. I took the coils off and wiped sparkling the ignition module they sit down on and rubbed it down in dielectric compound. Then I replaced sparkplugs wiped sparkling wires, replaced air clear out and permit vehicle dry out. My clear out grew to become into particularly soggy I now no longer own that vehicle even nevertheless it drove with particularly lots no issues for yet another 6 months or so after that then I traded it and it grew to become into nonetheless working. So attempt that first IMO

It's going to have to dry out. Remove the air filter and (if so equipped) the cap and rotor. Check for water in the oil. If you have water in the oil drain and refill.

Replace your air filter. It's soaked & will not air to pass through. Check the engine oil to make sure no water has entered.

If it pulled water into the engine, good luck with that.
