Go down the spectrum! Red, orange, green and blue look good with yellow. Violet is complementary and not advised. Other yellows, biege, tan ecru, etc. are OK, but I like more contrast. Black is fine with it. White will do but is a bit dull with it. Greys can be nice. With yellow, some of them have a relaxing effect. Brown is great with yellow generally.

that's my fav color, turq. greens (soft greens) peach colors are hot with yellow, black, dark navy, white, tan are very dark tan is your best in the tan family, you can do a lot with that color.
