If it makes u feel pretty, I say go for it. Just because nobody else will see it doesnt mean that u cant do it for yourself. U wouldnt feel good if u walked around with holes in your panties and a bra that made your breast look like cones. Men and women have different make ups. We women like to feel sexy inside and out sometimes. Men could care less what color or texture their boxers are! I say go for what makes u feel good. If u want to wear nothing but hot pink silk panties everyday for a year u should! Life is short ENJOY IT!
-Hopes this helps!
-Holla at ya girl!

Your husband is way, way out of touch with his feelings. Underwear, pajamas, t-shirts worn under shirts are and should be a strong personal expression; I find while so boring I hardly own any, just a few. The things that put a kick into life, especially one lived under so grim a government of tax thieves and failures, matter more than ever.
Life is about asserting yourself in the real world, making your own value judgments on a sound scientific basis,
being honest about what you know and don't and sensitive to what you really like and don't. Life is only secondarily about other people, fitting in with or risking annoying them or even caring what they feel.
You are acting like a grown-up when you find importance in the little things that make life worth living. And anyone who doesn't see that importance is quite probably locked up in some fear thing about pleasing nameless others and ignoring the authenticity of his own feelings.
It's become a national disease, part of a pretense-happy, un-self, fear thing that prevents people from being honest, happy, judgment-using adults and from being different.
The color of underwear is relatively unimportant; what it says about frightened victims of an increasingly totalitarian society out of touch with honest government, honest evaluations and honest feelings I say is very important.
He should care as much as you do about intimate apparel. Think about it--he's the only other one who'll ever see the garments.

To me it is a non-issue. I would try to see the beauty of the person inside and not their physical appearance. To often can we be fooled by looks.
As to your looking 'pretty or nice' if you would really wish for something like that go ahead. Just remember it doesn't affect who you are. Place the most importance on your inner self which can be far more beautiful than any model on the runway.

Sweetheart men assume someone is going to see it, He can't understand how something preety on you that noone sees can make you feel more like a woman...
However if you were to find a way for him to understand...You'd find him buying you those things with out asking...
There is nothing sexier than the smile of a woman who feels hotter than hell in an undergarment she's happy with...

Under garments make a woman feel sexy! Case closed. Besides, if you get into an accident you don't want everyone in the hospital talking about the unmatched, old dirty bra and panties that the woman that just came in had on, and finding out they were talking about you.

I wore a bf's briefs on a dare. I am still waiting for some strange disease as a result and this was 20 years ago.

I agree with you; however, you could have said something like, "Well, I'll model this just for you sweetie. And if you don't like them, you can just take them off me."
Ladies' panties and bras should make you feel good about yourself, BUT you should share the "good looks" with your hubby, or boyfriend, or both;-)
Next time, go to Victoria's Secret and get something you both will like, like crotchless panties...

I think there is nothing wrong with getting something that make you feel good about yourself. Tell him that if he doesn't get it than that is his problem. I am sure that there is something that he does of wares that you don't like but that is him and this is you. If you are paying for it then buy it

...I believe you should buy the undergarments that please "you" darling. You can always have "the other undergarments" that please everyone else...especially if they're buying it for you. I always get asked by women if I prefer "boxers or briefs?" Who cares so long as you like it hun. Do what pleases "YOU" first...and everyone else can come later. Buy what YOU want darling....not what everyone else thinks you should be wearing. Are we cool on this together? Good luck darling!
