I agree with your part that it is some kind of trick.......you are right.... and i think they don't want Australia to get some practise agaisnt these bowlers !!they are not taking them easy....but they are playing with them "actualy"..how intelligent !! Malinga is a kind of bowler who is not discovered much yet ....and as this match is called a rehearsal match for final by some expert so i think this Malinga is going to give them a tough time in final( if it worked) ......... these are Suppositions ..now lets see what comes out at the end ! they might be thinking of avioding the injuries especialy in the case of Murali and vaas...bescuase they are the bowlers whom srilankan team would depend alot in semis and so on !! but i think they are going to lose today's match..but anyways.... it won't effect them !

I love it...I think it was a brilliant move, there is no point to expose your bowling variety when its not very necessary and the good thing is, that they still have the game against Ireland to get the guys back into form before the semi's.
I'd prefer Australia to win today than sometime later, I know Australia to be a very ruthless and remorseless team so if they lost today they'd have something to prove later...which could be harmful to Sri Lanka's plans. So really the decision to give the guys a rest was a really good, calculated move on the part of the Sri Lankan team.
Sri Lanka's batting strength got to see what Australia bowling has to offer today and they'll make the necessary changes for the later games but unfortunately Australia won't get to face Sri Lanka's much touted bowling variety. Australia I think were outsmarted today.

No, it replaced into no mistake and this replaced into no longer an important tournament coz, SL already qualified for the semi.Vaas and Murali are the trump playing cards. Sri Lanka will in all likelihood face Australia contained in the most suitable. so as that they had to cover their deadliest weapon from their enemy at this early factor. Now contained in the most suitable Australia will face Sri Lanka with out any early adventure of dealing with Murali and Vaas. Then the heritage of ninety six global cup will in all likelihood repeat lower back.

It was known earlier that Malinga will not be playing as he has not yet fully recovered from ankle injury However, Vaaz and Murali not playing is a news to me. May be Sri Lanka would like to hold them back agaisnt Australia as they are their main weapon, so that Australian players will not get used to play against them if at all they meet again in semi finals or finals.

absence of these three key players could prove fatal to aussies..
unfortunately they are not in the line up..
malinga is injured, but i can;t figure out why the hell Vaas and Murali must be rested when this crucial match with Aussies..
loss in this match might cost them alot....
i hope this won;t happen and SRL will take the game out from aussies pocket

its definite lankans are gonna lose without their three strike bowlers.it is because of vaas, murali and malinga their bowling is considered the best in the tournament.i think they dont want to take a chance with them cause they know they can easily win their next match...

Very very smart move. Most of the Auusy fans are furious about this move.
You need to out think your competitors on Field and off the Field.
What a good move. This shows how prepared SL are for the Final.
Aussies will be ambushed..

Excellent decision. Aussies should not be given a practice by the leading strike bowlers. Srilanka would like to loose today. If they defeat the aussies today, it will be dificult to beat them in the final. it is difficult to defeat aussies twice. so strategically very good decision. Cheers... Moody....

Two reasons
To avoid exposure to opposing batsmen.
To avoid possible injury.
The drawback is that they will lose momentum.
Though Aussies are playing all their regulars They may hold back a few tricks for next meeting.
