The most useful book woud be a survivalist's guide of some sort, preferably one adapted to the very island you have washed up on.

The Profesor on Gilligan's Island must have written something about all those inventions. I'd get his manuscript and at least have fun while I'm trapped.

Some really thick one (like 1000 pages at the least), so I could use the papers to start campfires and such.
