My sister has a daughter who she hardly cares for.She doesnt work, she bums money and does nothing with her child.
I buy my sisters child everything and take her everywhere.I sometimes feel resentment and feel "why should I?'.I have 2 kids and work hard. But,of course I keep doing it as it would only spite the child.
What makes you feel resentment???

i applaud you for looking after the child but of course you shouldnt have to act as a replacement. it is nice to do things for her once in a while but it shouldnt have to be as regular as the activities you do with your own children

i'm not really sure what you can do about your sister. take her on trisha lol

the only thing i resent is my character trait in making problems for myself that i then have to fix. but it doenst happen often so no worries

good luck with the sister. take care

being talked down to like i am some backwoods dweller from a jerk water town that doesn't know what a telephone is, or when you met those people who feel they have to use at least 15 ten dollar words every time they open their damn mouth( ten dollar word are words that people will use to try and make themselves seem smarter then they really are, not knocking anyone here if you do use them, the people i am talking about will use the same words over and over until you just wanna puke on them) like we all nothing better to do then to sit there in amazement of how smart you think you sound

You should consider adopting your sister's daughter, or beating some reality into your sister, and the only time that I experience resentment is if a hypocrite points their poop stained finger toward me...

I feel resentment when someone makes a promise to help you in a desperate situation and never shows up or bothers to explain why.

you are doing a good thing but it is NOT your responsibility to provide for you sisters child in anyway. I would resent her for it to. if you didnt do it what would that childs life be like? tell her to get off her lazy a@@ abd get a job and support her daughter. she wanted to have this child now she needs to know what it is like for to be a mother and not a mooch

I resent anyone who takes advantage of me. But in reality, I really should only feel resentment at myself, because I am the one that allows it to happen to me.

When others take my ideas as their own and run with them! Grrrr!

Continue to do for your sister's child because it is the right thing to do. You will be blessed and her child will love you!
