I am doing an experiment (demo) for physics and my teacher wants us to choose something really awesome that has to do with electricity. But all the ones i see on the internet are boring, like a battery out of a potato. Does anyone have a crazy idea for me?! :D:D Thank you.

Here is a simple project you can make with three 2-liter soda bottles. It is a motor powered by static electricity. Neat stuff. Here is a link describing how to build it.

I give thumbs up to the Tesla coil answer, that would be totally awesome, but that may be too advanced for you. How about an electromagnet. Just wrap a few yards of thin wire around a big nail and connect the ends to a regular D battery. It will pick up metal things (like other nails) when the wires are connected to the battery and drop them when the wires are disconnected. Warning! This will drain the battery pretty fast, so don't leave the wires connected when you aren't actually using it.

Get your potato. decrease it in 0.5. you pick 2 strips of diverse metals. insert them into the 0.5 of the potato, they might desire to no longer touch. you will might desire to attach a voltmeter to the steel strips. it won't supply adequate contemporary to mild a bulb.
