I have a medium sized plant growing in the space that I plan on putting a flower bed...I thought at first it was just a weed but now it's started to flower, so I'm thinking there is a plant, flower, or bush of some type under the weed that has grown up the middle. Can anyone look at these pictures of the plant and flowers and see if they can figure out what type it is. I'd like to salvage it if it's not a weed. The links are below, I've included several different photos of the flowers and the plant.

It is called a Dwarf Pink Lady Azalea.
This bush will not get bigger then 2 ft tall. Its is to its full maturity from what i can see. They are easy to transplant. If you remove them they will not come back from roots left in the ground.
They love full sun and dry soil.

Hope this helped

It looks like an azalea to me. Azaleas like acidic soil so if there is a source of acid ( wood chips, ashes, pine needles) there is a good chance this is what the plant is.

It looks like an azalea, which is related to the rhodedendron, only smaller. Your local nursery would be able to tell you for sure, and possibly the name of that particular variety.

The folks at your local garden center were right. There is no bamboo that has broad, heart shaped leaves. What you have is either Japanese knotweed or giant knotweed. Check out the links in the source box below and see if that's what it looks like.

I'm not positive but it looks like you might find it here on this page: http://www.tonyhowell.co.uk/pinkflowers.htm

Looks quite a bit like a rhododendron.
