No, Miami was the 2nd edition, and NY was the 3rd.
The original, and best in my opinion is CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. I call it, CSI: Sin City as it's set in Las Vegas.

CSI was the first show (Las Vegas)
Then CSI Miami
Then CSI New York

The original was just CSI and then they just spun off in to CSI Miami and then it when to new york the just did spin-off from the original that's all.....
