I have auburn hair and it is somewhat deceptive, so of course I love it! Indoors or in weak light, it looks dark brown. When I go outside, however, it practically bursts into flame. It's an odd effect and one that is commented on frequently.
Another great thing about having red or auburn hair is - we don't really grey! All the blondes and browns in my family greyed pretty early. I'm 37 now, but just found my first grey hairs. All four of 'em. My family is so jealous.
In men, however, I prefer dark hair. I especially adore long, black hair on men. I have no idea why.
