The molding to omy bedroom door broke so I bought new molding and cut it, but cant keep it strongly attached to the wall. Ialso had to put wood filler in where the nob goes in. So nothing is there keeping the door closed. Any suggestions?

The only good way , if I understand your question, to repair properly would be to remove the molding and what is behind it. Install a stud and replace the molding, keeping the opening at the same demension ,this will give you all the support you need. Its not really that big of a repair. The door repair would be stronger if you installed a dow or piece of wood glued tightly in the door and redrill, this would give you the support you need, otherwise you will need to buy a new door.

there are 3 parts to a door, the door itself, the frame, and the moulding which conceals the crack between the frame and the wall surface... which is it your having problems with?
