I personally prefer Runes to any other method of divination. I've had my set for 10 years. Back when I was in college, I made my own. I spent a lot of time and effort trying to get them right. As such, they are connected to me. Runes feel more personal to me than any other method of divination, even though all are valid.

I use rune stones about once a week depending if the situation calls for it ^_^
As a White Witch, I usually allow whoever needs help to choose HOW I help them, and people find it hard to put their faith into small stones with funny things carved into them!
Usually I use many other methods of divination. I use a variation of the runes called 'throwing stones' more often because they are more accurate to me!

I don't know many professionals in the field who use rune stones any more. It's hard to make a transition between bodily energy and projected kinetic energy so most professionals prefer easier and simper ways of "fortune telling". While the runes are easy-ish to interpret, I find they are a little vague for my tastes.

However, if you feel that this is the path for you then I advise it!! There are not many who are interested in rune casting any more and I feel it's a shame as the art is a good one to learn- all that is needed is a little patience with symbols and a little practice with energy wishing! And it's wholly suitable for White Magick.

If you need any help, or anything at all, then my email address is missytetra@yahoo.co.uk - I'll be happy to help you out! In love and light, Tasha x

Rune Stones are to large to use in home activity, they were used by the Celts to record history and also as a calender. they were also used to represent pagan gods during human sacrifices in the early years before Christianity. That is all they are.

I have my own set of runes (Elder Futhark) that are on oak. I use them from time to time as I need them.
