New Zealand is made up of two large islands, the North Island and the South Island, plus several smaller islands. Stewart Island is the largest of the smaller islands and sometimes is called 'our third island'.
The two big Islands (North and South) are separated by the Cook Strait. The distance between the them is 32km or 20 miles.
You are correct in saying that more people live in the North Isalnd. The North Island tend to be the island of the people, the big cities, the financial center, cultural center etc. Don't get me wrong, the South Island has very large cities as well.
Sheep
New Zealand's South Island has about 49.5 million sheep which is about 14 sheep per person! More than half of the country is used in farming, mostly sheep farming.

Of course I am an Australia, so I why say it is far away. We have to say far away from where.
By the way, for any trivia fans, while Australians make fun of New Zealand for having more sheep than people, Australia actually has more sheep per capita than New Zealand.

Its Newzealand. It has animal based economy. its a country with Canterbury plains. However it has some volcanoes but it doesn't harm its animal resources so far.
