There are few things in life that are harder on a person than the time when they realize that the love they have worked so hard at, and spent so much time on, is finally over. Its really hard to let someone go when you gave your all to that person, but that is life. You should stand again and be a better person, make yourself busy, remove all the things that reminds you of that person like pictures, letters, etc... stop thinking about him/her. This process is really hard, but you should move on, maybe theres someone who is much better for you or maybe that person will realize that he/she still loves you and you will be together again. No one can tell what lies ahead in the future, but as for now, you should move on and improve your life. Under no circumstances should anyone stay in a relationship that is bad for them, just because they feel that being in a relationship, even a bad one, is better than being alone. Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak. Sometimes it means you are strong enough to let go!Cheer up and be happy! As a gift, i have I have some qoutes for you to think about.

"Someday, someone will come into your life and you will understand why it never worked with anyone else"

"Failure is the opportunity to have a new beginning, more intelligently"

"True forgiveness is letting go of the past, telling the person who did you wrong, Thank you...thank you for the experience, for the pain, and the lesson"

"Some people are not meant be in our life forever, but rather just to pass through in our life to give us a blessing"

Hope this helps....

You just know when you have had enough and you see that all the hard work that you put into getting back with them has gone unrewarded and you feel like you might as well move on because that's all just a thing of the past and it didn't work for a reason and everything in the relationship wasn't that good any ways. Trust me I know been there done that and now I have moved on.

Matters of the heart aren't easy, but you are unique and special. You deserve to be happy and live your best life.
Understand letting your friend go this way. Only you know how
challenging this relationship has been. Your question to yourself is...Can I see myself still dealing with this 3 to 5 years or more down the road? Or do I wish this person well
to go on with their life and I go on with mine knowing the correct person is waiting for me, but can't come to me because I'm still holding on to a situation that isn't working.
